However, just a few days ago, US President Trump concluded and highly praised his talks with Chinese leaders. How does China view these contradictory statements from the US?

We consistently view and handle China-US relations based on the three principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation. At the same time, we firmly safeguard our own sovereignty, security, and development interests. Maintaining the healthy and stable development of China-US relations aligns with the fundamental interests of the peoples of both countries and is the common expectation of the international community.
