Minister Wang Wentao Holds Video Talks with German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Reiche

On November 26, Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao held video talks with German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Reiche. The two sides had a candid exchange of views on issues including Nexperia.

Minister Wang Wentao stated that the Dutch side's proactive suspension of the administrative order is a small step towards properly resolving the Nexperia issue. However, as the Dutch side has not revoked its improper administrative and judicial interventions against the company, the global semiconductor supply chain remains very fragile, and the root causes of disruption and instability persist. The Dutch side should demonstrate sincerity and take concrete actions as soon as possible, earnestly propose constructive solutions, fundamentally address the concerns of all parties, and create conditions for restoring the stability and smoothness of the global semiconductor production and supply chain.

Both sides agreed that the enterprises are the main actors in resolving the Nexperia issue. Nexperia Netherlands and Nexperia China should engage in constructive communication regarding the internal enterprise disputes as soon as possible to find an effective long-term solution.
