GAC Toyota Recalls Certain Camry, Levin, Ling Shang, and Frontlander Vehicles
On August 8, according to the State Administration for Market Regulation website, GAC Toyota Motor Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the National Market Regulation Administration in accordance with the "Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls" and the "Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls."

Recall No. S2025M0127V: Starting from September 30, 2025, a total of 69,169 units of the all-new ninth-generation Camry produced between March 7, 2024, and November 8, 2024, will be recalled; 57,402 units of the Levin produced between March 16, 2023, and December 6, 2024; 6,574 units of the Ling Shang produced between March 15, 2023, and March 3, 2025; and 887 units of the Frontlander produced between June 21, 2023, and November 27, 2024.
The affected vehicles may experience a blank instrument cluster screen during initial startup due to improper programming of the control software, preventing the proper display of speed, warning lights, and other critical information, posing a safety risk.
GAC Toyota will provide a free upgrade to the instrument cluster control software for the recalled vehicles to eliminate the safety hazard.

Recall No. S2025M0128V: Effective immediately, a total of 6,154 units of the all-new ninth-generation Camry produced between April 24, 2025, and May 23, 2025, will be recalled.
Some of the affected vehicles may have insufficient strength in the front suspension coil springs due to improper heat treatment during manufacturing. In extreme cases, the coil springs may fracture, affecting driving stability and posing a safety risk.
GAC Toyota will conduct free inspections of the coil spring production batches for the recalled vehicles and replace defective coil springs free of charge to eliminate the safety hazard.
