China Launches 15 New International Cargo Routes in August

According to data released on the 6th by the Air Logistics Branch of the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing, 15 new international cargo routes were launched nationwide in August 2025, adding over 30 round-trip flights per week.

The newly opened international cargo routes in August primarily connected Asia and Europe. Among them, 11 routes were to Asia, 3 to Europe, and 1 to North America. A total of 10 airlines were involved, including 4 domestic carriers. The cargo composition mainly consisted of cross-border e-commerce goods, high-value-added products, auto parts, electronics, fresh produce, and specialty agricultural products.

It is reported that in the first eight months of this year, 152 new international air cargo routes were launched nationwide, adding over 300 round-trip flights per week.

Recent global air cargo定期 data released by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) showed that global air cargo demand increased by 5.5% year-on-year in July. Among regions, Asia-Pacific airlines saw the fastest growth, with air cargo demand rising by 11.1% year-on-year.
