Apple Launches Its Thinnest iPhone to Date
Apple Inc. held a new product launch event on the 9th in Cupertino, California, unveiling four smartphones, a series of Apple Watches, and headphone products. Among them, the thinnest iPhone to date, the iPhone Air, garnered significant attention.
According to Apple, the iPhone Air is 5.6 mm thick and weighs approximately 165 grams, supporting only eSIM cards. The model features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display and is equipped with multiple Apple-designed chips, including the A19 Pro, the N1 wireless networking chip, and the C1X cellular modem, making it the most energy-efficient iPhone to date. The phone is equipped with a 48-megapixel fused main camera and an 18-megapixel front camera.
The flagship models, iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, feature Super Retina XDR displays measuring 6.3 inches and 6.9 inches, respectively. Both flagship phones boast 48-megapixel main, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras.
The iPhone 17 is equipped with an 18-megapixel front camera, a 48-megapixel main camera, and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera, with a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR display.
Apple’s new AirPods Pro 3 headphones come with heart rate sensing capabilities, allowing users to measure heart rate and calorie consumption during workouts. According to the company, the in-ear active noise cancellation is twice as effective as the previous AirPods Pro 2 and four times as effective as the first-generation AirPods Pro.
Apple also launched three watches on the same day. The Apple Watch Series 11 offers comprehensive health features and a more durable dial, with a battery life of up to 24 hours. The Apple Watch SE 3 is equipped with the same S10 chip as the Series 11 and also supports 5G networks. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is the most advanced Apple Watch to date, featuring a precise dual-frequency global positioning system and satellite communication capabilities, allowing users to call for emergency assistance and share their location.
