
"China Optics Valley" Releases Top-Talent Policy, Offers Up to 100 Million Yuan to Attract Global Experts
The Optics Valley top-talent policy is closely aligned with the development needs of the leading and future industries in the East Lake High-tech Development Zone. It aims to futurize the leading industries, focusing on supporting advantageous sectors and niche segments like optoelectronics information and life health. It also promotes the industrialization of future technologies, supporting top talents in strategically pioneering and conducting forward-looking and disruptive technology R&D. Regarding supporting talent settlement, based on different innovation and entrepreneurship scenarios, the policy supports top talents with core technologies to start businesses in Optics Valley, or to form structured talent teams around them依托 key enterprises and major innovation platforms.
It is reported that Optics Valley will utilize a "talent recruitment mechanism" to attract top talents in the field of sixth-generation mobile communication (6G) to participate in formulating international 6G standards. In the field of third-generation semiconductors, it aims to attract international top talents with full-chain innovation capabilities from material design to end application, helping Optics Valley build a global compound semiconductor industry hub.
This talent policy represents a significant breakthrough in support intensity. For top talents aligned with Optics Valley's development direction, project funding will be provided in two tiers: 20-50 million yuan and 50-100 million yuan. For major and critically needed projects, full support of up to 100 million yuan can be provided, with up to 20% of the startup funds available for advance payment in the year the project is established.
In addition to project funding, top talents and up to three core team members will be awarded the honorary title of "Optics Valley 3551 Talent" and receive corresponding talent grants. They are also eligible for free accommodation in talent housing, receive an "Optics Valley Digital Talent Card," and gain access to over 20 talent service benefits, including education and healthcare.
Furthermore, Optics Valley will guide various funds to provide equity investment to project entities, forming a diversified support structure characterized by "fiscal fund guidance followed by social capital," aiming to eliminate worries for top talents regarding innovation and entrepreneurship and support the rapid development of projects after their landing.
