China's First Tabletop Instrument for Extreme Ultraviolet Matter Absorption Spectroscopy Successfully Developed
On November 4th, Anhui Guoke Quantum Light Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guoke Quantum Light") launched China's first tabletop instrument for extreme ultraviolet (EUV) matter absorption spectroscopy in Hefei. This marks a significant breakthrough for China in the field of high-end scientific instruments and adds "domestic strength" to achieving self-sufficiency and controllability in key detection technologies.
As a typical example of the authorized transformation of scientific and technological achievements from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), Guoke Quantum Light specializes in the research and development of high-brightness miniaturized light sources covering the ultraviolet to X-ray spectrum (including deep ultraviolet, vacuum ultraviolet, extreme ultraviolet, and soft X-ray) and related scientific instruments. Its product portfolio covers absorption spectroscopy, photoelectron spectroscopy, short-wavelength micro-imaging equipment, in-situ detection equipment for industrial production lines, and provides corresponding band detection services.
Professor Hu Guangyue, Chief Scientist of Guoke Quantum Light, explained that this product utilizes laser plasma technology to successfully achieve a breakthrough in tabletop high-brightness short-wavelength light sources. It offers advantages such as scalable production, small footprint, and relatively low cost. It serves as a beneficial supplement to traditional large-scale synchrotron radiation facilities and is expected to provide entirely new technical means for the development of strategic emerging industries like new materials and new energy in China.
"This instrument not only provides strong support for the development of cutting-edge scientific research but also, for the first time, directly embeds high-precision extreme ultraviolet detection technology into industrial production lines, offering a self-sufficient and controllable domestic solution to core detection challenges in the field of advanced manufacturing," said Hu Guangyue.
Fan Jin, Director of the Hefei Science and Technology Bureau, stated at the launch event that Guoke Quantum Light is a vivid practice of Hefei City's efforts to build an innovation ecosystem and implement the national strategy of achieving high-level scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement, demonstrating the significant results of local promotion in efficiently transforming scientific and technological achievements.
This launch event was guided by the Hefei Science and Technology Bureau and the Hefei High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Science and Technology Bureau, hosted by Anhui Guoke Quantum Light Technology Co., Ltd., and undertaken by Anhui Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment and Development Co., Ltd.
