Singapore Business Federation Launches Generative AI Tool to Help Businesses Address Global Trade Challenges

Xinhua Finance, Singapore, September 10 (Reporter Liu Chuntao) — The Singapore Business Federation (SBF) announced on the 10th that its Center for Future Trade and Investment (CFOTI) has established partnerships with six major institutions and launched the world’s first generative artificial intelligence tool for trade advisory services, aiming to help businesses navigate the current complex global trade regulations and tariff environment.

The new partners announced by the Center for Future Trade and Investment include DBS Bank, DHL Express (Singapore), Pacific International Lines, PwC Singapore, Rajah & Tann Singapore, and Temasek Foundation. The parties will work to deepen regional trade and investment linkages, enhance corporate capacity building, and jointly develop practical solutions to address the volatile global trade environment.

According to the introduction, the Center for Future Trade and Investment officially launched a generative AI tool called the "Trade AI Advisor" (TAIA). This is the world’s first such tool focused on global trade advisory. It can simplify complex trade rules and provide clear guidance to the business community on free trade agreements, tariffs, and compliance requirements. The tool is based on reliable information sources and SBF’s extensive free trade agreement database, aiming to help businesses uncover opportunities, ensure compliance, and maintain competitiveness.
