Service Robots Become "Top Trend" with Actual Orders from Middle East and Southeast Asia

"In the past few days, our team has received over a thousand business visitors," said Cui Yue, head of the overseas sales department at Zhiyuan Robot. She had just finalized a cooperation with a Spanish client and was busy handling inquiries from Saudi Arabian buyers. The overwhelming foot traffic exceeded expectations, prompting several rush orders for Cui Yue's business cards. To save time, the latest batch was directly printed on stickers. These days, Cui Yue rarely had time to sit down, joking, "I'll consider it weight loss."

Behind her, the Zhiyuan Expedition A2 humanoid robot became a popular photo opportunity for buyers. Elsewhere, a coffee robot was working nonstop as the "barista in charge," with its custom latte art feature attracting numerous buyers to place "orders." At the moxibustion and massage robot booths, buyers queued up for experiences.

The service robot zone, set up for the second time, was a highlight of this Canton Fair. From the breakout humanoid robots this year to continuously upgraded window-cleaning and cleaning robots, service robots have undoubtedly become the new top trend in global expansion. More than traditional exhibition shelves, this area served as a showcase for China's advanced manufacturing technology.

The speed of China's technological iteration surpassed buyers' expectations. Taber, a buyer from Egypt who attended the 137th Canton Fair six months ago, shared with Jiemian News: "When I came in the spring, humanoid robots were rare, let alone robot dogs. Returning in October, robots have evolved to make coffee, provide massages, and even perform surgeries."

However, another new robot model shows promising business potential. At this Canton Fair, Lingdu Intelligent launched its latest obstacle-crossing window-cleaning robot. "I filmed the obstacle-crossing window cleaner while touring the exhibition. That very evening, downstream clients expressed interest, asking about prices and models, so I returned to the booth the next day for details," Taber said.

The number of buyers like Taber, who also work as independent content creators, is growing—a trend particularly noticeable in the robot zone that highlights the latest technological trends. Exhibitors jokingly refer to this group as "organic promoters." At the booths, many visitors held smartphones or pocket cameras, filming while providing commentary. Buyers came not only for potential procurement but also to stay updated on the latest technological trends. Various robots have become traffic drivers on these creators' platforms, generating further potential demand.
